Day 5

Today was our last day in stockholm sweden. after breakfast i took the shuttle down to the city and just explored around on foot. taking pictures of everything, exploring all the sights on my own was wonderful. i absolutely love it there, i seriously am considering moving there one day. at least during the summer months, i have heard that the winters are a little dreary.
picture from a short adventure.

the ship left port today and we are now sailing to helsinki, finland. i am so sea sick...
bleh...

CREEPER

so about a week ago
i accepted a friend request on
good ol' facebook.
i didn't know the fellow
(let us name him martin)
but i thought
what the hell and approved the friendship.

so for the next week
every time i was on facebook
it seemed martin was online.
he would always begin chatting with me.
asking me weird questions.
making me uncomfortable.
suggesting that we hangout.

i decided to delete him yesterday.
10 minutes later
my phone vibrates
"Martin has sent you a friend request"
Ignore!
my phone vibrates again.
"Martin has sent you a message"
hey did i say something wrong or something for you to take me off your friends list.
I didn't reply.

phone vibrates.
"Martin has sent you a friend request"
Ignore!
phone vibrates again.
"Martin has sent you a friend request"
Ignore!
phone vibrates for the third time.
"Martin has sent you a message"
do you still want to be friends with me
I didn't reply.
once again the damn phone vibrates.
"Martin has sent you a message"
i guess you dont want to be friends anymore then
i didn't reply.

one last time the phone vibrates.
"martin has sent you a friend request"
IGNORE!!!
*mind you this whole thing took place within 15 minutes*

so by this point i am completely creeped out
and laughing uncontrollably.
i don't know this dude
AT ALL!
and he is already acting like a stalker.
not a quality i normally look for in a friend.

the rest of the night my phone stays pretty quiet
just normal text messages
and such.

this morning
bzzzzzzz
"martin has sent you a friend request"
ignore!
bzzzzzz
"martin has sent you a message"
did i say something wrong or something i thought we were friends.
i didn't reply.

some dudes are just plain creepy!
so if i end up raped, missing, or murdered.
know that he will be at the top of the suspect list.
because for whatever reason
he just really wants to be my friend.

Creepy Crawlers

The other day Jillian spotted this big nasty spider.

It was extremely gross.

And it was in our house!!!

After a short panic attack
which consisted of me shouting
"kill it"
"what if there are more of them?"
"Oh god, what happens when it bites monroe and he dies?"
"Eww it's moving"
"It's looking at me, I can feel it!"
"what if it jumps on me, and bites me? I don't have health insurance!"

And a brief photo shoot
just for the internet

I decided best option to rid our home of this creature
was to use the vacuum.
with the hose in hand
and the hose extender
I wanted to stay as
far away
as possible!
I attempted to vacuum up the little bugger.

I was terrified that the big hairy thing was going to jump on me.

I could sense that it's wee beady eyes were just staring at me;
it was getting ready to pounce.

In the end I chickened out.
I handed the vacuum hose to the much braver shay
who sucked that bad boy up.

We let the vacuum just spin for a while to ensure that it won't be crawling out anytime soon.

Two seconds later a box elder bug landed on my arm.
Which led to a fit
of screaming,
hopping,
arms flailing wildly about
for nearly 2 minutes.

Have I ever mentioned I don't like creatures that have too many legs.
Which means more than four.

I have been crawling ever since.

Dervish

Well since I had expected to pay more for my camera and didn't have to, I had a few bucks left over.
Ever since I went longboarding, I've been dying for a board of my own.

So Sunday Chad, Colton, and I went to BC and I purchased my new love.
It's behind my camera on the love scale though.
I hardly made it out of the mall I wanted to ride it so badly. Once in the parking lot I peddled once and cruised the whole length of the lot and back.
It is a spectacular board
and it's
ALL
mine. :)
We went up to sugarhouse park and took it for a test spin. I'm way too much of a pansy ass to bomb a whole hill but I did cruise down the little ones.

My board is amazing!
We decided that we should go cruise down memory grove. Up past Capital Hill. The road is pretty rough so usually you can't pick up a ton of speed. But apparently my board is just amazing and can coast over anything.
I ended up speeding right past Chad and Colton (who were suppose to be my just-in-case breaks I'm not too good at stopping yet). I had superbad speed wobble and was attempting to ride it out. I had nearly made it to a level spot when I hit a pothole or rock not really sure and totally biffed.
A few injuries. A knee and elbow scrape but no major problems.
Right after the fall.
Honestly, it creeped me out quite a bit because it wasn't really bleeding.
But I was more upset about ruining a pair of my favorite jeans.
The rest of the way down I stayed right next to Chad.
My wound started bleeding a little bit from the motion
see here...
We decided that I should probably give it a rest for the night.
Once we arrived at the apartment cleaning detail was highly needed.
Scrubbing away.

Battle wounds.

Chad and Bryan didn't have bandaids
so I ventured upstairs, to the tranny, to ask for some.
Bad idea.
She/He was super nice but I was completely grossed out by the apartment.
I lucked out!
He/She didn't have large enough bandaids to cover my scrape.
Not that I would have used it if She/He had any.
I have great friends who didn't force me to go with them to the store in silly soccer shorts that were 2 sizes too big with blood dripping down my hairy leg.
I got all bandaged up and everything was wonderful!

body malfunctions

Just recently I really started looking for a second job instead of just thinking about it. I was hired on at a temp agency two weeks ago and have just been ironing out a few details before I actually start working for them. Yesterday I went in for the drug test -which also happens to be the third time I've gone in for the test (which is a completely different story that would probably cause you to  poke your own eyeballs out if you had to read about it). They had explained the procedure to me beforehand and mentioned that someone would be in the bathroom with me. Of course I panicked. I have a super weird thing about people being able to hear me while I pee. Most the time when I have no choice but to use a public restroom, there are plenty of people making excessive amounts of noise, so I don't stress. But this time it was going to be me and just one person, who is waiting no less, for me to urinate. I can't ask her to step out or turn on the faucet because it would seem like questionable behavior.

I went prepared downing 3 large cups of coffee and 2 water bottles right before, that way I would HAVE no alternative but to pee when I got there. Once in my car I really started feeling all caffeine I had practically inhaled. My hands started shaking uncontrollably, I was bouncing in my seat, and on top of all that I wasn't really able to feel my legs from the knees down. How brilliant I am! How about next time I go in for a drug test I don't look like I coming down from last nights hit. I arrived at my destination... could hardly walk because my lower half was tripping out on a caffeine rush, I started stuttering to the receptionist because I was ultra nervous to have someone listen to me relieve my bladder. Mind you I was doing the pee dance, because I swear I have never had to pee that bad in my entire life. I must have looked and sounded like a junkie on the ride down from spectacular high. Finally! I was allowed to follow her into the restroom where I'm pretty sure I snatched that little pee cup out of her hand and ran into the stall. It was as I feared! I could not squeeze a drop from my bladder that was containing more fluid than the Atlantic Ocean. After waiting the longest three minutes of that poor receptionists life, I resorted to pushing on my lower abdomen to force that fluid out of me. I barely had enough to reach that stupid blue line. Test over, I failed -kidding- I drove like a bat out of hell to my other job and peed 20 gallons!

True Story! Happy Tuesday.

FRANKEN-PUPPY

So this is my poor Franken-Puppy. A couple of weeks ago I discovered the most disgusting looking wart on his upper lip. Immediately I decided this wart has to be affecting his self-esteem and it's got to be removed. Plus, every time I looked at him it's the only thing I saw. Seriously, you can't say that a giant wart screaming "I WILL INFECT YOU!!" wouldn't bother you either. So Friday it was conveniently removed by the vet and now temporarily I have a Franken-Puppy. From a distance it almost looks like he suffers from a clef-lip. Poor dog, I thought I was doing him a favor. In the long run it will look much improved. Franken has already had a tough week with surgery and having to wear one of those hideous lamp shades. But I had to top of his horrible week by sneezing all over him this morning. I think he still likes me. :)
