Here is a list of movies I think everyone should watch. Click movie titles for previews.

Pride and Prejudice. Probably one of my all time favorites. Everyone should watch this movie. It is very close to the actual book. The cinematography is amazing! Plus, the gentleman in this flick are so attentive, how I dream of someday meeting a man like Mr. Darcy.

Braveheart. I love love love this movie. From the Scottish accents, to the beautiful scenery, the awesome soundtrack, and the wicked ass fight scences. Even though Mel Gibson can be a total douche, this film is still neat.

The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. I <3 these. Call me nerdy I don't care, but these movies just ooze awesomeness!! Must be the extended edition. None of that silly theatrical version garabage.

Amadeus. An old film but so good. It's not cheesy like some older films, Amadeus is just plan good. Most people I know haven't even heard of it but it's just a fantastic film. Will forever be one of my favorites. Tom Hulce, the actor who plays Mozart, is phenomenal.

GoodFellas one of my favorite mafia movies. It makes me wish that I was married to a bad-ass mafia man.

Willow. This movie deserves and honorable mention. As a child  I watched this movie EVERY DAY. I didn't put up with those nonsense Disney movies, I watched real films. I haven't seen it in ages but I'm sure since I loved it then, I would still love it now.

Some others that are definitley worth viewing: Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2, Inglourious Basterds, Space Balls, Atonement, Blood Diamond, Young Frankenstein, American History X, Stranger than Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Waterworld and I think I am done wasting your time now. I could probably go on for days. I like way too many movies.
Feel free to add to the must see list. Obviously I need something to fill up my excessive amounts of free time.

Book and Movie Review.

So I have neglected to write my reviews for the past few movies and books I have read/seen out of pure laziness. So I guess I have some catching up to do, so here it goes.


MOVIES:

Adventureland:Was an all right movie. Although I noticed the actors/actresses did a lot of drinking and driving. I don't know if anyone else who has seen the movie noticed but I sure did. It had some funny punch lines but I wasn't laughing the whole movie. Overall, it's was a good time wasting movie.


Watchmen: I had no idea what this was going to be about but it turned out to be entertaining for the most part. I didn't really enjoy the too long sex scene. I felt like I was watching a porno with my brother sitting right next to me. Horrific experience for sure! But besides the lengthy 'lets make a baby' scene, and the blue guy walking around in nothing (ultimately leading to me falling into fits of giggles every time his penis was shown; kept thinking "Blue Balls") the movie was wicked awesome. Definitely one to add to my collection!


State of Play: First it has Russel Crowe so it just had to be good. One of my favorite actors ever. Downside it also has Ben Affleck, one of my least favorite actors ever. I liked the movie. But as of right now I can't recall what really happened in it. So it must have just been okay, not great.


Fast & Furious 4: Sort of confusing because it's been so long since I have seen the first ones and I had forgotten what happened in them. But I liked it. I'm not really or at all into cars but the story line was cool. Pretty predictable though. Has Paul Walker in it so makes the fact that it is predictable okay.


The Soloist: Really liked this movie. The acting was good, except for when Jamie Foxx plays the Cello he doesn't bob his head around like real celloists do. He sits still which in any orchestra is very uncommon. Robert Downey Jr. acts very well in this movie. Of course the music through out the entire was great! Another one for the movie collection.

My Sister's Keeper: By Jodi Picoult, A mother and father harvest a daughter to genetically match the elder sister who has a rare form of leukemia. They designed the younger daughter Anna to be the perfect donor match, that way Kate might have a chance at a normal life. After many donations and remissions and relapses Anna finally takes a stand and says no more. She sues her parents for medical emancipation from her parents. Her sister has gone into kidney failure and Anna doesn't want to donate the her kidney. The story is very good. I have never cried from a book until I read this one. A touching story, that challenges what is right and wrong. It has been made into a movie and will be released later this year, or early next year.

Clearly....

I'm not very good at this blogging thing. Well actually I totally forgot that I had even started one. Way to go Megan! So anyway I just decided two seconds ago that I am going to do a Movie Review section. Seeing as I do spend a ridiculous amount of money on them, might as well share what I thought of it with whoever decides to read this. So lets start with the most recent movie watched... TWILIGHT. I absolutely HATED it! The acting was so horrible, the story was so far from what really happened in the book. I seriously could not to stop laughing the entire movie. Not really any of the actors/actresses fit the roles of the characters. I mean not saying the Robert Pattinson is terrible looking; but he is not to die for. As a matter a fact, he isn't even tempting! Hayden Christensen would have been a much better Edward. Not just in looks, but probably a better actor! Besides the terrible acting, if someone hasn't read the book I believe the movie would be very difficult to follow. Just over all it sucks. If you like it, you obviously have horrid taste in movies!
I mean seriously I would rather sit through a 6 hour, low budget movie that is true to the book. Then watch a chopped up and inaccurate version of a book that was somewhat enjoyable.
I also just decided I might do a book review section. I like to read (well listen to books on my ipod). So I'll try and post more I guess.
