itty bitty pieces

so most everyone knows that i am clumsy.
i can break things just by walking by them.
most the time it's all good,
just ends up being something to laugh about.
BUT NOT THIS TIME!
this morning i broke something that was very
sentimental to me!
i am going to attempt to put it back together.
but i honestly feel it will just be a hopeless attempt.
it's dumb because it's just a thing,
but i can't stop crying. :(

Creepy Crawlers

The other day Jillian spotted this big nasty spider.

It was extremely gross.

And it was in our house!!!

After a short panic attack
which consisted of me shouting
"kill it"
"what if there are more of them?"
"Oh god, what happens when it bites monroe and he dies?"
"Eww it's moving"
"It's looking at me, I can feel it!"
"what if it jumps on me, and bites me? I don't have health insurance!"

And a brief photo shoot
just for the internet

I decided best option to rid our home of this creature
was to use the vacuum.
with the hose in hand
and the hose extender
I wanted to stay as
far away
as possible!
I attempted to vacuum up the little bugger.

I was terrified that the big hairy thing was going to jump on me.

I could sense that it's wee beady eyes were just staring at me;
it was getting ready to pounce.

In the end I chickened out.
I handed the vacuum hose to the much braver shay
who sucked that bad boy up.

We let the vacuum just spin for a while to ensure that it won't be crawling out anytime soon.

Two seconds later a box elder bug landed on my arm.
Which led to a fit
of screaming,
hopping,
arms flailing wildly about
for nearly 2 minutes.

Have I ever mentioned I don't like creatures that have too many legs.
Which means more than four.

I have been crawling ever since.

PLAYOFFS

so sunday night ally and i went to the jazz game.

jazz vs the denver nuggets.

we sat in super spectacular seats.
which also had a super ridiculous price tag,
but it was worth it.

there were some awesome ladies sitting behind us.
pretty sure they had a thing for cj miles.

one would shout out words of encouragement to him
and the other would shout
"yeah! what she said!"

god, i love old ladies. :)

i tried to secretively take a photograph of them without their knowledge.
but as you can tell I failed.
they all were staring at me while i sheepishly took my picture.

during halftime.
ally ate pig parts wrapped in pig intestines.
and i had plain ol' dippin dots.

we had a short little photo shoot during halftime as well.
here is to show everyone
how photogenic i am.
i should just stay behind the camera

we shouted, screamed, clapped, and slapped the rest of the game.
jazz won!

denver sucked a fat one.

final score.
117 to 106
ally was so happy they won.
yay!

Real

APRIL 10 was the season opener for Real Salt Lake.
I was there! It was super.
We paid a ridiculous amount of money for tickets.
But it was worth it.

After we first arrived, we stood waiting at the
gate for the rest of our party to join us.
When out of all the people at this event,
we see some people from high school.
You know, the people you know,
but never talked to.
It always leads to the awkward look.
"The I know you, You know me, But I really don't want to acknowledge that." look.

Momentary awkwardness only half avoided,
We entered the stadium.
Then after taking the long way, around the entire stadium,
we finally found our seats.
The game was so-so.

Final score was 2/2
The last minute was the most intense of the match.
Real almost lost.
But they pulled through to tie.
Too bad they didn't win.

Was super fun.
Needs to happen again.

Vinyl Williams

Saturday night I went to Kibly Court.
My friends band, Vinyl Williams, had a show.
They were awesome!
Check them out here.

Band Members
Lionel Williams - guitar / nord / vocals
Bryan Lee - drums / vocals
Scott Shepard - bass / vocals

These fellows are all extremely talented musicians.
probably the best musicians i know on a personal level.
their sound is unique and genuine.
it penetrates your soul.

"Vinyl Williams operates on sonic matrices, which are combinations of frequency, upon layering, that may affect human reality. This music is only a pursuit to create matrices, it is difficult to understand, as a creator, if a certain frequency has been attained. That is why you're here."
This is Lionel
and his mane of grandeur.

at play.
bryan is hidden by that melon on a stick.
haha kidding.
but he really is behind lionel.
(check out lionel's pedal board- i wasn't the only one drooling over it)
it was a good show.
waiting for the next one.

First of Many

today was such a beautiful day.
too nice to be couped up inside.
monroe and i took a jaunt down to the park.
i laid in the sun.
the rays were spectacular.

i read a book.
monroe chowed down on a bone.

we stayed for hours.
if i would have remembered lunch,
i would have stayed all day.

looks like i've started myself a new summer tradition.
sunday lunch at the park.
can't wait until next week.

Pretty blossoms on my journey.

Dervish

Well since I had expected to pay more for my camera and didn't have to, I had a few bucks left over.
Ever since I went longboarding, I've been dying for a board of my own.

So Sunday Chad, Colton, and I went to BC and I purchased my new love.
It's behind my camera on the love scale though.
I hardly made it out of the mall I wanted to ride it so badly. Once in the parking lot I peddled once and cruised the whole length of the lot and back.
It is a spectacular board
and it's
ALL
mine. :)
We went up to sugarhouse park and took it for a test spin. I'm way too much of a pansy ass to bomb a whole hill but I did cruise down the little ones.

My board is amazing!
We decided that we should go cruise down memory grove. Up past Capital Hill. The road is pretty rough so usually you can't pick up a ton of speed. But apparently my board is just amazing and can coast over anything.
I ended up speeding right past Chad and Colton (who were suppose to be my just-in-case breaks I'm not too good at stopping yet). I had superbad speed wobble and was attempting to ride it out. I had nearly made it to a level spot when I hit a pothole or rock not really sure and totally biffed.
A few injuries. A knee and elbow scrape but no major problems.
Right after the fall.
Honestly, it creeped me out quite a bit because it wasn't really bleeding.
But I was more upset about ruining a pair of my favorite jeans.
The rest of the way down I stayed right next to Chad.
My wound started bleeding a little bit from the motion
see here...
We decided that I should probably give it a rest for the night.
Once we arrived at the apartment cleaning detail was highly needed.
Scrubbing away.

Battle wounds.

Chad and Bryan didn't have bandaids
so I ventured upstairs, to the tranny, to ask for some.
Bad idea.
She/He was super nice but I was completely grossed out by the apartment.
I lucked out!
He/She didn't have large enough bandaids to cover my scrape.
Not that I would have used it if She/He had any.
I have great friends who didn't force me to go with them to the store in silly soccer shorts that were 2 sizes too big with blood dripping down my hairy leg.
I got all bandaged up and everything was wonderful!
:)

This week is definitely turning out to be awesome so far
HEAVY SARCASM.
I really hope that everyone else is having better luck than I am
TRUE STATEMENT.
Let us pray that the rest of the week turns out better
OR CROSS YOUR FINGERS.

New Camera.

New Pictures.
I took a few of Monroe.
He was choosing to be very camera shy.
Which really means he was being a punk.
But yesterday morning I ventured to Liberty Park to
experiment
I could just take pictures all day.
I LOVE it.
Here are some cool ones I captured.
*Look Close* This bird is missing a foot
I was a creeper this morning
I was at a playground taking pictures of
children.
Hopefully Dexter Morgan doesn't decide to kill me.

Finally...

Well it's done.
I finally did it.
There is no turning back now.
My pockets are complete empty
and my bank account drained.

But I have a new camera.
and I LOVE it.

Tomorrow I will take it out for a test drive.
I have so much to learn.
Soooo many little tricks of the trade
that must be mastered.
I've already messed around a little.
A few pictures of Monroe.
but then he started getting mad
and hid from me.

I'll be sure to post them.
but for now I'm off to mess with more settings.
So excited to finally have it. :)

stoked

well i have finally decided that i am going to go with the nikon d5000
instead of the d90.
pretty much all the tech specs are the same there are just a few
minor internal differences.
the reason for this change is by purchasing the cheaper body
i can afford the more expensive lens.
if you know anything about dsl cameras the lens is what
makes the picture.
i cannot wait to actually own it and take lots of pretty pictures.
so as of next saturday
(i hope) i will be the proud owner of a new fancy camera.
maybe it will even happen sooner!
i'll cross my fingers

spell it

when it comes to spelling
i really have no place to insult others.
i am horrible at spelling!
but this is just...
well, what it is

New Obsession

Last weekend Chad, Marcus, and I all went longboarding.
It was my first time ever!
And I only Fell once.
Now I am completely obsessed.

I can't wait to have my own board. I'm pretty set on buying one.
We went and looked at boards yesterday.
Bad Idea
Once I get one, we are going to go cruise the streets of St. George.
Chad tells me that the streets of St. George were made for longboarding.
So Stoked!
